Debt Mom, that’s me.

I’ve been through the many facets of that word… debt.

I’ve been there, right where you are. I’ve read all about it.
The first part of my adult life, I was financially struggling and in debt. Too many, sleepless nights, dwindling bank account, increasing expenses; not wanting to “do without” for fear of judgement… and then something clicked.

• I didn’t want to go to bed thinking about the bills.
• I didn’t want to wake up, thinking about the debt.
• I didn’t want to go to work, knowing the debt was growing every day, thanks to the interest rates.
• I wanted a way out.

Not only have I been in debt, I’ve been on the other side of debt.

I’ve lived free of credit card debt for many years. That’s been liberating and rewarding.

I’ve actually been employed as a debt collector at a few collection agencies. I’ve seen all types of debt.

Debt from credit cards, medical bills, expensive lifestyles…

Life happens, and sometimes debt comes along for the ride.

I know many struggle, trying to get out of debt and not knowing where to start, or how to stay on track. It can be overwhelming.

I understand, it’s not an easy path, but being debt free CAN be a way of life.
